Aboitiz Land and Aboitiz Foundation partner with TESDA and LGU San Juan, Batangas
Aboitiz Land, Inc. and Aboitiz Foundation Inc. have formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the TESDA – Batangas Provincial Office and Regional Training CALABARZON, local government of San Juan, Batangas and Cebu General Services Inc, a partner who will assist with implementation and coordination, to launch the Aboitiz Land Masonry and Construction Skills Program. This is a new corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative that aims to equip local residents with job-ready construction skills.

The MOU signing ceremony marks a significant step in Aboitiz Land’s continuing mission of empowering communities through upskilling and inclusive employment opportunities. In addition to Elevate AIDA, a program that empowers underprivileged Filipino women by equipping them with digital skills, particularly in artificial intelligence (AI) and data annotation, this program will provide TESDA-certified training in masonry and construction painting, followed by direct access to employment within Aboitiz Land’s ongoing and future developments.
Farrah Nina Mayol, Senior Assistant Vice President of Customer and Reputation Management at Aboitiz Land, emphasized the deeper purpose behind the program: “This is inclusive growth in motion—where progress uplifts not just Aboitiz Land communities, but everyone around us,” she said. “Through this initiative, we aim to provide local residents in our host communities with practical skills in masonry and construction painting, helping them become part of the growing workforce that brings our developments to life.”
The partnership leverages the expertise and resources of each stakeholder: TESDA will deliver technical training and certification, The LGU of San Juan will facilitate community engagement and selection of qualified beneficiaries, CGSI will facilitate participant sourcing, training coordination, monitoring and job placement while reporting program progress and ensuring timely deployment of certified trainees, and Aboitiz Land, with support from Aboitiz Foundation, will fund the program and integrate successful graduates into their construction teams.
Mayor Ildebrando D. Salud of San Juan, Batangas expressed optimism about the program’s long-term impact. “This is a big opportunity for our constituents—not just to learn new skills but to gain meaningful employment. We’re proud to collaborate with Aboitiz Land, TESDA, and Aboitiz Foundation.,” the mayor said.
The first batch of trainees is expected to begin training in the coming months, with job placements to follow shortly after completion. The program is part of the Aboitiz Group’s broader commitment to co-creating resilient, empowered, and future-ready communities across the Philippines.
