BI asks public to help find aliens posing as Filipinos

The Bureau of Immigration (BI) on Thursday urged the public to help find aliens who are masquerading as Filipino citizens.

BI Spokesperson Dana Sandoval said made the appeal after lawmen arrested on May 21 Chinese national, identified as Xu Shiyan, in Cagayan de Oro City in possession of a fake birth certificate, driver’s license and voter’s identification card.

Sandoval said Xu was found to have been involved in the operations of Phil-Sanjia Steel Corp., where he was listed as an incorporator, with another Chinese national, Tony Yang, also known as Antonio Lim.

Yang and his brother, Michael Yang, were previously implicated in illegal Philippine offshore gaming operators’ activities. —MELVIN GASCON
